Sick sick sick...

So damn suay...
It's the third time this month i'm down with flu and it got worsen this time round, diagnosed with high fever...
Aching all over, can't sleep the previous night either...
Can't keep my eyes open...
Really hope it not something serious...can't help to think otherwise these days with the Avian Flu going around..
Hai....
So 命苦...

But i want to thank my wonderful girlfriend for taking urgent leave to take care of me and keep my company...the whole day
hope i didn't pass it over to you...
thanks...really appreciate it!
Given a two day MC by the doctor...can take a break from everything and just relax...
do some reading, be it pleasure or study...
This is a book that i just got....hee hee

Hahaha....

Not sure if i did mention on my blog, that Cynthia & i went to Kuala Lumpur over weekend.
So here are some photos from the trip...
if you want to see all of the photos, drop me a msg...i will forward you the link to the Yahoo's photo thingy...

Enjoy...

No, no you didn't see it wrongly... we STAYED at Ritz Carlton...

See how spacious the room is??? At first we only booked a Deluxe room, but the nice folks at Ritz Carlton upgraded up to a Exective Deluxe for us...

This what we had for dinner the first night. Only took photo of the first two dishes, cause both of us are too hungry le...hahaha... The first pic is small abalone and second is "la la" (kind of shellfish) and the third is stingray... all of them are wrapping in aluminium foil and grilled to perfection!!! Highly Recommended by Moi....LOL

after the good food, we walked around Chinatown, through all the stalls where a lot of branded Replica are sold...no, i didn't get any...

The great thing about staying at RC is, it has a cozy lounge at the 19th floor which provide complimentary drink most of the time..

I had a glass of red wine, while Cynthia opt for a beer instead...

At around 7pm, the personal butler will come in and set the bed for us.
and he left a little something for us by the bed.

Saturday morning...

Some candid shots before breakfast...

Breakfast is served at Rossini

The menu, what cynthia had and what i had

Oh yea, not forgetting the nasi lemak i had...Haha

And off we went to go shopping at the Twin Tower...
some shots of the Petronas Twin Towers along the way...
Yeah, we Walked there...

Menara KL (KL Tower)

and Suria KLCC, where all the shopping is...

Guess what we had for lunch??? A&W...yay

Waffle with ice-cream

Root beer float

Our Miss Koh have never taken the Malaysia's LRT...so here's her virgin trip

All these walking make the day passes really fast, soon it's dinner time again...
here's what we had

BBQ Wings

Penang fried kuay teow

Fried abalone mushroom

Oyster Omlette
Yum yum.....

Something i find amusing about the lift in StarHill Centre. They labelled each floor with wording instead of number...

Sunday before checking out, we went for some last min shopping and lunch at Planet Hollywood... which sadly is no longer available in Singapore...

While waiting for our food..

Tada...and lunch is served...

while waiting for the coach to come...

Bye bye Ritz Carlton...

Hope you, readers enjoy the photo as much as i do...

Today is Big Walk Day

Woke up bright(not exactly bright lah, 5am in the morning, where got sunlight to shine bright bright???) and early for the annual TNP Big Walk, didn't join last year due to some mixed up, but this year i'm back with my younger brother, Miss Cynthia and Moi....

We met up at Kallang MRT station to walk to the currently renovating National Stadium, decided against taking the free transport at Doby Ghuat and City Hall. Which Miss SinYan and Auntie Irene did...ended up arriving at 8 plus...So they just hang around the area, collected their goodie bag and left...

While the three of us were sloggin along Nicoll Highway...trying to make sense of why are we even torturing ourselves...by walking 10km...hahahaha

Nevertheless, it was fun.... which the big crowd...and hold the hand of my beloved while strolling along the highway...

Well...enjoy the pictures.
my pro bro changing into his walking shoes...

See the crowd everywhere???

Well, Nicoll Highway was closed for the morning...

At the Start Point....

The Bosch Robot was here...

Geoffery from Toy 'R' Us was here..

And his gang of robots...

Walking and some sight along the way....

This gang of Dragon dancer club members....
performed all the way throughout the Walk...kudos to them!!!

And finally...The finish line...Yay..

Enjoy and Goood night...

Just wanted to go there and check out the Brazillian footballers that were specially flew
for this event to play against the local winners of the event...

Turns out the U20 team actually won against the Boy from Brazil in the penalty shootout!!!
Imagine that!!! The malaysian team was actually thrashed 12-0...
Seems like there is a future for football in Singapore...
Hahahahahaha...congrats to the winning teams...

slipping into depression...

Can't get a grip on myself at all.
Slipping back to the depressing mood i had a couple of weeks ago...

What am i 煩 about this time?

It's been 1 month since i took over Pianhong's job scope...
Yes, it's a boring job...
It's in a corner...
There's nobody to talk to me...

But i like that... at least nobody to disturb me, no prying eyes to watch what i'm doing.
and most importantly, my work is being acknowledged and appreciated.

What must everything be judged my qualification??? Just because i do not have my dip, it means that i'm unable to perform the job scope of a Assistant engineer??? WTF
Lame....
Can't expect much when you haf crap/rubbish managing the department...
Arghhh....

What am i gonna do??? I really don't wanna to go back to what i was doing...
neither do i wanna do the 12 inch job...
it's a 吃力不討好的工作. Hmmm....工作 seems like a too kind word to be used.
think i should repharse it.... Shit.... seems more suitable...

How???

Why must everything be based on the qualification that you have???
but not on your ability???

Drinking and lots of drinking...

Long weekend for the this and the coming week...
Wow...
And i'm gonna be casting my Virgin Vote (神勝的一標) Wahahahaha
Crapping so much...
Been drink quite a bit, for the past few days...

First, on Wed nite, met up with my good friend of 10 years...
Wah...times really flies...
Chit-chatted about all the stupid stuffs in life...
Problem she faces in her personal life...
Hai... never knew that affair of the heart can be so hard to resolve...
at least not for me i guess...
When it's over... it's over
Why all the hassle and crap???
So what was i drinking????
Here...

A pint of Hoegaarden

Seems like these days that's my first choice of alcohol beverage. It doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste as compared to other kind of beer that i had before...

So both of us had a pint each, and obviously it aint enough for me, so i had another regular one...didn't took picture to compared the difference...

Well, on friday night, i went out with a bunch of kids...
hmmm...youngster i would call them, not kids lah...afterall they are all at least 20 plus years old already.... hahahahaha
One of my brother's friend birthday...
So where did we went to??

Cozy little place, at really cold temperature...
was cold like hell...and it's really small....
But not a bad place to hang out though.

The "youngster" crowd i was hanging out with...

The drinks we had...a Johnny Walker and some soda and fruit mixers...

My brother...

A toast with the birthday boy...

Well after we finished what we had on the table, we ordered some more shot and cocktail and "Tar" with the birthday boy...
In the end, what happened? He got real "high" of course...
Wahahahaha....and it funny, looking at all of them, highly intoxicated...
Well, at least they didn't get into any trouble...
Seems like my brother is getting worried about his own birthday, seeing how birthday are celebrated...

十年前....

Was a boring day at work...
The FA folks removed the hot chuck device that i connected to my tester chuck.
Clear up the mess, setup everything...did the troubleshoot stuff as prescribed in the emails...
Did some of the stuff i was required to do... Nobody came to bother me, nor did i went to bother anybody until the later afternoon...
Life is good.. so quiet, so free... so sianzzz...
Maybe it's just the Monday blues...

Looking for new jobs... anybody have one to introduce???

Went to classes after work, brave through the freaking heavy rain...
Reach class, can't remember my password to log into the system...
Wah lau eh....
But suay suay...the server also DOWN... Wahahahaha
End up, the first lesson is cancelled...

While waiting for the second class to begin, went to get a cuppa of kopi with a few of the guys..
Eric was commenting that while he was doing some of his work at Temasek Poly, all the newbie look so "kin na"
Which made us realise...that we are all so old already...
Imagine those we are at least 9/10 years old then those newbies...
OMG...
i guess time really passes by when you cross the 21 yr old mark...
Can't even believe that we can even reference things as long as ten years ago...
Man....
We ARE getting old...
Hahahahaha

Skipped lesson...

Just wasn't in the mood to be going to school for today's lesson...
Could it be the weather??? It's been raining the whole afternoon...
I don't know... maybe i'm just the kind of person easily affected by stuff/elements around me...
Wahahahaha...
What the hell am i talking about...

Is there even a Hell??? Hmm...

So i just took the MRT in the oppsite direction and headed towards City Hall...
was getting hungry... wondering what to have for dinner...
When this stuck me...

Always wanted to give it a try ever since it had reach Singapore's Shore...
Just didn't have the chance nor time...
I'm sorry, my dear... I know we once promised to go there makan together...
Well, guess my craving got the better off me...

I had the Charbroiled Mushroom burger.... it was huge... and it is indeed nicer than Burger King's Mushroom Swiss Double...
And i was even given the option of adding bacon or onion rings in it...
Everything was served pipping hot...ala Mos Burger's style...
Yummy.....

Had my dinner, finish the newspaper while i was there....
was walking out of Suntec toward the MRT to go back...

Saw lots of those voluteers sling those big big donation box collecting donation for the elders
kinda wonder how was it like? to be sling that across your shoulder...
Maybe i should give it a try....
How does it feel to be doing a good deed, not just donating money, but actually contributing some sweat (Eeeekks) for a good cause...
Well...all i did was popped some loose changes...and left...
How was i supposed to feel??? Good?

I don't know... just nothing...
kinda like numbed...
hahahaha....
What the hell is wrong with me???

Feelings...how do you know???

How do you know what people wants???
how do you know what your parents want from you?
how do you know what your siblings want from you?
how do you know what your loved ones want from you???

How??? Would you get your answer just by opening your mouth to ask them???
Or do you hope to guess from their gestures and behavior???
Or do you just sit there and wait for them to tell you instead???
Or why not simply "bochup" and save yourself some time and trouble....

How do you tell people what you want???
How do you express it???
Openly??? Discreetly???
What is the correct way??? Can anybody teach me???
:(

Frustrating... What is the proper way???
Is there even a proper way??
*sigh*

If there isn't one...the next best thing is to numb your thoughts...
Does anybody out there know how to??
Thoughts which you can't help surfacing in your mind...
What do you do??? Take some Panadols??? Hoping that it will kill it off like a headache??
Hahahahaha....

Life is full of so much contradictions....
sometimes it's a pain....
------------------------------------------------------

Great Wednesday...manage to go workout in the company gym....haven't been there in age since the staff lonage was converted into office space...everything there remains pretty much the same...just that it is now relocated in a studio, where you can see those women doing their yoga, pilates, or even aerobics... in their undersized skimpy workout clothes... which kind of a turn off.... just imagine trying to squeeze everything into a undersized luggage, end up having stuff over spilling at the side... Yucks
Wahahahahahaha....

Will try to make time to go gym every Wed...to slowly regain my fitness...which i lost over the last 6 months...arghhhh...
Guess what i need now is a spotting partner...
any volunteers? :)

None...

Wah, so long since i last update my blog....
Been busy with the usual....work,Bball, my dearie and other misc stuffs...
Well...here's my usual rant...

Today is the 2nd day of School...
after a 7 weeks break/holiday....techinically i won't call it a holiday nor a vacation
cos i still have to go to work... hahahaha *Sian*

Well, seems like more people are joining the original class...
More strangers to deal with...
Well, for a start, i'm not talking to any of them yet....
Don't feel the need to anyway...

Everything in office is still revolving the stupid $30 increment we had...
hai.... Even when i tried not to think about it... I can't help feel sore about it...
not because of i just got that $30 like everybody else...

Wondering when is the PBA (Performance Based Appriasal) review gonna be??
But like i said, what's the purpose of that? if you are promoted people when they are not even performing???
What a joke ain't it???
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Was on a cab on monday nite, heading home...
when the cab uncle start to talk about his second son....
sad.... to hear about what happened between him and his son...
long story to type out also...so i guess i'll just leave it alone...
but just to conclude...

Be Respectful to the elders....
Show your parents the due respect they deserve...

#$%&@#

WTF is wrong with this world???
Damn pissed with what happened at work...

Got a letter this morning from my boss...
Yes, finally I got my first increment after working for two years...

nothing to brag about, it's just a miserable 2% of my basic pay...
all the hard work for that???
is it worth it??? Can't complain, because I would expect everybody to be getting about the same.
Well, if you tell me, SY or KP or even KW is getting a higher increment! I have no qualms about it...

But the SLUT??? WTF....
Why does she deserve to get a better increment than me??? Or anybody else???
Why? It's so fucking unfair....
Yeah...The world is never fair, or no two fingers is the same length...
But.... Not working long than a year...and having so many screw-ups...
and not working most of the time...
How do you justify the increment?
I would really like somebody to explain to me....Can anyone do that??

And what the fuck do she do anyway? Beside making a lot of stupid noise and comments and flirt vividly with the boss's boss...
Well, what to do??? She's a slut....what can I do?
I can't wear bareback to work...
neither can I wear skirt to work either...
yeah...not to forget i don't have half-ball to show...KNNCCB...
yeah, nothing is fair.....

and the fact that she's suppose to be SY's backup when SY's is on leave next week...
this makes me even more resolute to not help out even if boss does ask me too...
since she is getting much more than me, surely she must be competent enough to handle a small task of backuping SY when she's away...

I so totally demoralized with the fucking workplace...
whatever fucking drive i'm supposed to have for my first job is long gone...
don't see any point to work hard for preserve...
i guess the sentence, "it's not how you work, it's who you knows that matters"
how true....
would love to have change my job...if not for my stupid course holding me back...
DAMN...CCB......

the truth about men

Wanted to post something that i read a couple of weeks ago on the Today paper...
So here it is... In case you are wondering, it's written by a woman :)

THE (SAD) TRUTH ABOUT MEN

WE come across men who say things like: "A man can still have extramarital
affairs even though he is happily married" or "It is not natural for men
to be monogamous".

A woman can never understand. Why would a man want to seek another woman
if he is "happily married"?

My male friends replied: "It is the testosterone" and "Men are highly
sexed".

These answers are not very enlightening, so I meditated on it and here's
what I think:

a) Men must be the centre of attention. Not long ago, I saw in the
newspapers a picture of a woman with her smiling husband at her side, her
newly-published cookbook in one hand. She said: "Show your husband your
love by giving him home-cooked food."

I asked my husband: "Do you want me to stay in the kitchen the whole day
preparing your food?" He shot back: "And smell of onion, garlic and fried
fish?"

A woman thinks that if her husband comes back from work and finds her
tired and sweaty, having prepared dinner, fed the children and tidied the
house, he will say: "Ah, my poor wife! She works so hard and is so
selfless, how I love her!"

More likely, he will think: "I work all day to bring home the bacon and
what do I get? A smelly and dishevelled wife who ignores me! She is only
interested in the kids and the house" - as if "the kids" and "the house"
are not his too!

When a woman grows up, she matures from a child needing attention into a
mother ready to suppress her own discomfort to attend to another. A man,
on the other hand, does not mature - he still needs as much attention, if
not more.

b) Men must be made to feel important. A woman sometimes does not
understand how egoistical a man can be.

A few years ago, my twin sister's sister-in-law and her husband came from
Taiwan to stay with my husband and I in Penang. As I drove them around,
the sister-in-law kept telling me to let her husband drive "because he is
very good with cars".

But, I thought to myself: I was doing fine, and I know my car and Penang's
streets better, right?

I realised too late - when he became curt to me and abrasive to the female
sale assistants - that he'd felt humiliated being driven around by a
woman. A man's ego is as fragile as porcelain.

While a woman looks upon her home as a place of stability and rootedness,
a man looks upon it as another arena where he can be important, the boss.
Thus, a man expects his wife to be submissive and "the wind beneath his
wings". It will not do if she overshadows him - he will become resentful
and need an outlet for his hurt ego.

c) Men cannot tell the difference between "love" and "sex". Once, a
60-something-year-old Englishman walked into my shop to buy Viagra. He
told me: "I come to South-east Asia every year to look for love because my
wife does not love me anymore. We have not had sex for a long time. She
has a prolapsed uterus and the doctor said she could just have a ring put
in to correct the situation, but she refuses to do anything about it!"

A prolapsed uterus is a condition in which the uterus sags into the
vagina. It is often due to a difficult childbirth or multiple childbirths.
But he looked so sorry for himself. My heart went out to his wife - she
had his love only as long as she could satisfy him sexually.

So, fathers and mothers, if you want your daughters to get married and
stay happily married, stop teaching them how to cook and sew - send them
instead to the geishas and the social escorts to learn how to please a
man.

d) Men want to feel that they are capable providers. A smiling and happy
wife assuages his ego, while a complaining wife hurts it. Thus, never
complain about anyone (especially his friends and mother) or anything to
him. And the surest way to drive him away is to start complaining about
him!

e) Men view their wives as trophies. A lot of women make the mistake of
thinking that since their role is to help their husbands shine, they can
be slothful about their own mental and physical development.

But to a man, a wife - like his cars, houses and titles - is a symbol of
his success and abilities. Thus, it will not do if a woman becomes less
desirable as she grows older, while her husband with his growing wealth
becomes more desirable.

We cannot depend on a man's conscience or reminders of what you have done
for him in the past to keep him faithful. A man, with both his ego and his
lust, cannot be expected to do the right thing.

It is left to the woman, as the stronger sex, to suppress her needs and
make the necessary sacrifices to keep her husband contented with her.

Had a good laugh over it....
hope you readers enjoy it too....

Slacking Sat...the usual bball game at ACS Barker road....
We won our last game of the season...a big margin win i must say...
but wasn't enough to override the second placing team to qualify for the final
Disappointed??? Yes, i am... But glad that i'm gonna get my whole saturday back...for other activites...with my loved ones...My family and Cynthia...

How fragile is a relationship??? Why do people stray??? For the thrill of it? Fun of it???
Or??? Is it so hard to be a one-woman/man guy or gal???
Or it's the just wired in the the nature of the human species that you must spread your seeds/ or find the most dormant male to mate with???
Just feel that life is getting so messed up these days....
Is it really that hard to remain faithful to one...just one???
Something to ponder.....

Away from home entry

Not at home for these past few days.
No, i'm not running away from home, neither am i "liu liang-ing" outside...
hahaha

Just having a taste of what life will be like in the near future....

From what i see, life in future ain't as easy as i had expected it to be...
LOL

maybe i'm just now....
i don't know....
the usually undecisive me....so unlike my star sign, but then again...
i could never figure out exactly which sign i belong too....Wahahahah

All i can say is life would function better if some ground rules are laid out...
But do you want to live your life like a function???? hai...
I don't...

All i can say is....
If i have my OWN place...
i won't want to make my own life so difficult...

Afterall, it is MY own place...i set my own rules instead of abiding to other people's...

Am i selfish?? by saying all this??
Well, i think i'm not...
Afterall, a home is a place, where you can be stressless and relax at...
not some place where every little thing irritates ya...

feeling...i don't know...

been a long time since i last posted anything...
these days time are spent working, playing basketball and spending time with Cynthia.
Kinda peaceful i would say....

Planning for our next trip...hopefully we can go to an "ang mo" country...
Enjoy the sights and weather there...and of cos, how can any travel end without any shopping??? hahaha...
Well, hence gonna scrimp and save for it....
Life is hard...But for the sake of it...i will try to endure :)

Work??? Currently being trained to take over a new job scope...
sometimes i wonder why am i doing so much??? Will doing all this get me anywhere?
Will anybody actually realised that what i'm doing???
Sometimes it's just do and do and do...but will you get back as much as you have given out???
I wonder.....

As to why am i being trained for it? Cos the person who's doing the job is going for her
maternity leave...going to give birth soon...It's a baby girl...
Happy for her...haha...
Like i said...anywhere there's pregnant lady, i won't be too far behind...WAhahahahaha

Feeling rather stressed...
worried that i can't feel her shoes....
not able to meet the expections of the new "sup"...
this kind of feeling is really sucky...

it's like when you have already trained so hard before a game...and halfway thru, ya thrown into the game...how will you react? Are you able to cope??
For that i don't know...
But i'll try...

Sometimes...i just need some support...
I'm only just human too....
hai....
tired and vexed...

mixed-feeling...

last paper this afternoon...
by right, i should be really happy that this semster is finally over
but, it's the agonising part of waiting for the results to be annouce...
Arghhh....yeah, i have been doing well for the two modules...

Well, no point crying over spilled milk...what's gonna happen, will happen i guess...

----------------------------

Now? i'm feeling miserable...
why?
dunno...just feel lousy...
lousy enough to hate myself...
very lousy....

feeling tired, stressed, aching...and miserable...
i know i shouldn't be a selfish jerk...
but i guess i'm still me....
i'm worried about where she is now...
whom she's with now...
how's she is now....
i guess she must be enjoying herself...
:)
hope it clear your mind of all your niggling problems...
i'm sorry...
